Greetings from snowy central-northern Italy. We got a nice Volvo v80 from hertz at the Florence airport and started driving north. Eliot stayed behind because he's flying back to holland for classes and will meet us in belgium.



We're at a truck stop now on the highway to bologna. For lunch I bought a baguette and buffalo mozzarella. The little grocery store in the truck stop had a whole section of gourmet cured pork that would put whole foods to shame.
